Some celebrations stand out not only for the atmosphere, but for the people who host them. On this occasion, Jason and Ilana Palman opened their home for their daughter’s batmitzvah, turning it into the setting for a truly special night. Ilana, a fantastic hairdresser known across Borehamwood and the surrounding area, brought the same creativity and attention to detail she’s known for in her work into the celebration itself.

Rather than opting for a formal venue, the Palmans chose to keep things relaxed and personal with a grazing table, a bar, and a waffle stand. The result was a house party that felt warm, welcoming, and full of character.

One of the standout moments came right at the start when the batmitzvah girl made her entrance by performing “Shut Up and Dance” on her guitar. It was a brilliant, unique touch that set the tone for the evening. Later, a heartfelt slideshow during the welcome speech filled the room with laughter and happiness as friends and family enjoyed looking back on cherished memories.

When the dancefloor opened, the atmosphere was electric. I’ve honestly never done so many “final dances”. I think we reached at least four or five! The first couple of “final songs” quickly evolved into more, with the crowd’s demanding more each time. It was the perfect chance to lean into my quick mixing style and ability to read the floor, dropping hit after hit to keep everyone moving until the very end.

It was a night packed with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories, exactly what a batmitzvah should be.

Whether at home or a venue in London and the surrounding areas, I can help make your batmitzvah a fun, music-filled celebration.
